Default 12 Florida Towns So Weird You'll Swear These Can't Be Real

12 Florida Towns So Weird You'll Swear These Can't Be Real.

Picture is clickbait...towns are real. These towns are not weird......they are highly tolerant of people unlike themselves.

Gibsonton is where circus and carnival folks winter during the cold months and have done so forever. The Florida Showmens Association holds a week long Motorcycle Festival once per year.

The Giant once owned a fish camp, tourist cabins and restaurant, in Gibtown when he quit the circus.

In early history Florida people had no money but bartered food for items they needed and sold fishing worms.

There is a town now gone, called Rattlesnake and rattlesnake roundups are held yearly near Dade City.

Celebration is right next to Kissimmee, Old Town, where there are weekly car shows, the original Big Foot 4 Wheel Monster Truck, and where American Grafitti's DJ, the REAL Wolfman Jack had Little Darlin's Rock and Roll Palace before he went to Rock and Roll Heaven.

John Travolta parks his 747 next to his house in the Villages and car shows are held in town there every week. NASCAR racer Michael Waltrip lives there also. Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing is beside the Interstate and the Leesburg Motorcycle show is the new Daytona.

Casadaga is a whole town of psychics and metaphysical people.

12 Florida Towns So Weird You'll Swear These Can't Be Real Florida produces towns so strange that no other state could generate them even accidentally. This video reveals 12 real Florida towns that sound completely invented but exist right now with actual residents living genuinely bizarre daily lives. A town officially designated as the Psychic Capital of the World where mediums have operated continuously since 1894 and spiritual readings are a regulated local industry. A community where the entire population lives in a converted hotel that functions as the town itself.

A settlement where wild monkeys escaped from a tourist attraction decades ago and now outnumber residents on a river island nobody can figure out how to reclaim. A town that holds an annual underwater music festival where musicians play instruments designed to work beneath the surface of a spring. A community built entirely by one man from recycled trash over 50 years that was eventually designated a historic landmark by the state. A place where a coral rock structure weighing over 1,100 tons was moved by a single 100-pound man using methods nobody has ever been able to replicate or fully explain. A town where the economy runs almost entirely on a single annual event so unusual it draws international media coverage every year.

A village where homes are built without air conditioning by choice and residents live in structures designed around natural ventilation in a state where summer temperatures make that sound clinically insane. A community established as a retirement destination that accidentally became the largest age-restricted community on Earth with its own radio station, newspaper, and recreation centres outnumbering schools by a ratio that defies belief. A coastal town where an entire neighbourhood of futuristic dome houses is slowly sinking into the Gulf of Mexico.

A place where the local bar serves a drink containing an ingredient so unusual that signing a legal waiver is part of the ordering process. And a town whose name, location, and founding story are so absurd that first-time visitors assume the welcome sign is a joke until they realize the entire population is completely serious. These places exist because Florida combines heat, humidity, isolation, and a tolerance for eccentricity that creates conditions no other state can replicate. If you are interested in weird Florida, roadside America, folk art, unusual communities, Florida real estate, or proof

that the Sunshine State is genuinely unlike anywhere else on the planet, this countdown delivers all 12.
