Quick Specs

Clean Green Custom Supreme

With three generations active in the Pomona, California, lowrider scene, the De Albas are one of the most established and respected families of craftsmen in lowriding. Albert De Alba Sr. was introduced to the culture by his father, Mario Sr., and began customizing pedal cars and bicycles before graduating to lowrider cars, including his 1963 Impala “El Rey,” which has been called the “pinnacle of modern lowrider culture.” His son Albert Jr., owner of the ’68 Impala “Legacy,” continues the family’s tradition of extraordinary builds.

“Dead Presidents,” built by Albert Jr. and his father, was unveiled at Albert Sr.’s 50th birthday celebration in 2023. Built over two years, the 1958 Impala features shaved door handles and mirrors, custom fiberglass work, a hand-built front grille, and a completely revamped interior. But its intricate paintwork by Albert Jr. is perhaps its crowning feature—the vehicle is fully striped and patterned with candy and metal flake paint in shades of green and yellow. The car has appeared at the Lowrider Las Vegas Super Show and the NHRA Motorsports Museum.
