The 1962 Dodge Dart station wagon parked like a guard to the garage hails from Oklahoma. The mighty Mopar’s story starts with a discussion at the counter of a parts store. A military member who went in to get brakes for some kind of early-to-mid 1960s Mopar product got to chatting with the clerk about drag racing a car, and wouldn’t you know it, the clerk had just the machine available. Once the clerk was done with his shift, a deal was done, and thus was born the Nichols & Atkinson Dart. While much of the car’s history sits between vague and unknown, what can be proven was that this Dart historically ran a 426 Wedge with cross-ram and dual quads.
