"Black Widow" 1957 Chevrolet 150
note the 6 bolt hubs...at one point they welded TWO center sections together with longer studs so as to not tear them apart from racing forces.

1957 Chevrolet 150 “Black Widow” NASCAR Tribute
Frame-Off Restored - Period Correct - Historic Track Survivor
This 1957 Chevrolet 150 is an incredibly accurate tribute to the legendary “Black Widow” factory racers built by SEDCO for NASCAR competition in 1957. It's not just built to spec- this car lived that history. Originally a track car, it retains many original racing details and has undergone a meticulous frame-off restoration using period correct materials and techniques.
Highlights Include
-Original race car shell with viewing ports for right side tires- confirms a big oval history
-Hand fabricated brass oversized radiator tanks from the original car
-Exhaust routed through the frame, not under it
-Dual shocks at all 4 corners
-6 lug hubs and spindles
-Vintage roll cage
-Leaded seams on new rear quarters (not bondo)
Body & Restoration
When acquired from a backyard in Georgia the car had more than its share of bondo. It was outfitted with new skin throughout, with the rear quarters seams finished in lead. Evey effort has been made to preserve the car's authenticity and racing heritage, down to the smallest period correct hardware. Restored to race car trim (no headlights, turn signals or horn) it runs and drives (burns rubber!), but it not currently set up for street use.
