I was born in 1970 so I might've been 16 when this movie came out & already was a dedicated bike rider, a car wasn't really a want for me. I averaged 5+miles a day 5 days a week just for school and fast as he'll. I had 25 inch thighs and 15" calves and was just pedeli g until I joined Ed the Army in '88. Flash forward to
2023, I've not personally owned a car stateside in 15yrs, I pedaled thru France, Scotland and to Mt. Saint Michelle 3 times. Ft. Bragg to Virginia, Ft Bragg to the Lumberton Planetarium, Lake Waccamaw and even all the way to Wilmington NC to the beach for 2 months with my buddy Two Tone. My entire Life it's been me
my bike & my dog. When my daughter came it was us on bikes with her travel keyboard. She's 30+ now and it's her, her cousin she adopted and the 2 Ukraine kids she adopted & they all live in France and go biking around there every chance they get. Now it's just an old Infantry man with a new hip but still needing a
new knee and shoulder, my bike and a lil old dog. There's that cou try song, "It all started with a toothbrush" my song, it all started with 2 pedals and 2 wheels. Stumbling upon Quicksilver today still gives me goosebumps watching it just like the 1st time in the dark movie theater. Thank you so much if anyone at the site sees this, really.
