The movie title should be pronounced with the same oriental accent as Sh***y Wok on South Park, the cartoon.
THE CITY (1977) 16:9 Mark Hamill, Don Johnson, Robert Forster, Jimmy Dean, Susan Sullivan
When Mark Hamil first came to Hollyweed and worked in a gas station, distraught over his lack of acting ability and his small weiner,
he beat the crap out of a Porsche Speedster.....which he would later drive a speedster in a movie called Star Wars, after he got out of jail for
beating the crap out of it's owner.
Don Johnson was a teenager in this movie, working for free and all the cast's lunch he could eat. He later put up money he got from rolling drunks
and stealing purses so he could "produce" a TV show called Miami Vice that he could star in since he got the money together as it's producer.
Using his talent for raising money he next produced a TV show to star in called Nash Bridges. Johnson has always played a cop since he skipped acting school and got busted by cops
enough times he memorized that a suspect could remain silent....one of his BEST bits of acting Unfortunately Nash Bridges taught him how to beat up a suspect
resulting in more money to "produce a TV show, then he paid himself to act
Jimmy Dean started peddling sausage during an early morning TV "Variety Show". and eventually made enough money that he could get the heck off TV.

DeafRowe here, I collect and hunt for VHS and various other platforms of media. I hope you enjoy this very obscure movie and decide to like, subscribe and share. I will be posting more of these type of movies and a good bit of my own content to review in the future. The reason for my name pertains to the fact I'm significantly deaf in both ears and my last name is Rowe. It amused me, so I figured the name would amuse others as well. Let me be your obscure movie host with today's movie showing. I bring to you THE CITY in beautiful crystal unclear vintage spec VHS format in un-original 16:9 ratio, with the original 4:3 ratio following tomorrow night at the same time.
Synopsis According to the Back of the VHS slip case: Miami Vice superstar Don Johnson and Star Wars' Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, face off in this action-charged police adventure. Hamill plays an unpredictable psychotic who reveals a deadly grudge against a famous country singer, played by Jimmy Dean. Robert Forster teams up with Johnson to protect the singer and track down the assailant with the mysterious motives. It's a race against time as Hamill stalks the singer, murdering a detective along the way. The killer terrorizes the singer's family, leaving their dead dog on the lawn and threatening the wife and small son at knifepoint. The singer moves his family to a remote country hideaway, but Hamill tracks them down. While investigating the case, the police duo come upon family connections between the singer and the killer that pull together the pieces of this suspenseful film. Just finished watching this really good, attention holding movie from 1977, when I was 20 yrs old. Everything in it was a grand walk down Nostalgia Lane for me, the card, clothes, hair do-s, actors, even the vernacular n the ambience, especially the obviously less population n crowded looks of the scenery in Bel-Air n Malibu Canyon!!! I started for that part of the U.S. 3 times n never did get there due to other avenues I took, but it was such a great time to be young n motivated n to learn about life in!!! I really miss that day n age of the 1970's n 1980's!!!! The best of times ever in my life!!!! Thanks for the reminder. Keep searching for these type of nostalgic movies cuz they aren't easy to find for me, n I appreciate your efforts Deafrowe,!!! Thank you n looking forward to more!!! Happiest of New Year's to you n yours!!
