You are spot on with your analysis. Between their stupid Chase, stage racing, the charter system and now this terrible next gen car, NASCAR has ruined itself. Now NASCAR wants to jump on the diversity and the gay pride bandwagon. Holding a race on the streets of Chicago? I'm through with them. Been a fan since 1967 when my father took me to my first race. Later I built and raced my own cars in the old NASCAR "Winston Weekly Racing Series" for a little over ten years. Screw them, I hate to say it, but I'm done.
