You forgot Cadillac entered 2 cars in 1950- 1 was a stock off the showroom type 61, and the other was a type 61 with a special streamlined body the French called "Le Monstre". Herschel McGriff is truly a legend.

He won the Mexican road race in 1950 when I was 4 years old, then in the 1970's I raced with him in the SCCA nationals in Seattle and we all commented on how fast that old guy was, then I quit racing for 25 years, and after raising a family, I started NASCAR short track racing in 2000, and guess what-

I found myself on the track racing with Herschel McGriff. My last race was in 2014 at the age of 68, barely a youngster compared to his last NASCAR race at age 90. .
