more than half my age, much stronger than me and I imagine much faster than me too.
Recently, I was out of town for business staying in a hotel…
Also staying at the same hotel was a college football team.
They rented out a large ballroom area and they were preparing to get on the buses and head out to their game.
Needless to say, the kids were in good shape and many of them were quite large.
In other words, they were more than half my age, much stronger than me and I imagine much faster than me too.
But as I was walking by this group of football players, I thought that if I were attacked by one of them, I could defeat them and come out victorious.
Now, I know what you’re thinking…
“Jason, are you out of your mind? You think you could defeat a big college football player who’s more than twice your size?”
Well, first off, I have zero desire to fight a college football player, I’m not insane.
But, if one of them attacked me and I was forced to defend myself, I know I would come out the winner.
Why?
Well, think about college kids.
When I was in college, I thought I knew how to fight but I had no clue what I was doing.
So, yes, college kids have an ego, but they have no idea how to really fight and they just end up throwing a bunch of wild haymakers.
Plus, beyond those wild haymakers, they have no plan.
On the other hand…
I know exactly what to do if someone were to attack me. I have an automatic response that I know will defeat them because I know where and how to strike to stop them.
Basically, I have the knowledge of what to do and that gives me the confidence to know I can defeat my attacker.
Think about it this way…
How would I feel if someone came up to me right now and said that in two minutes, I would have to play the piano at some fancy concert?
Well, I would have no confidence and I wouldn’t know what to do since I can’t play the piano.
But, if I had knowledge of how to play the piano, I’d have the confidence that things would be okay.
And that’s how it is with self-defense and being able to defend yourself.
All you need to know is the correct strikes and you can defeat someone younger and stronger than you.
I know it still might sound ridiculous, but the story below proves my point…
How a 64-Year-Old Man Destroyed 2 Thugs Trying to Attack His Wife in a Shocking Road Rage Incident.
