Put this on your list of places you never want to end up in… Evin prison in Tehran.
Put this on your list of places you never want to end up in…
Evin prison in Tehran.
The prison was built in 1972 and its inmates include numerous political prisoners.
Basically, if you speak out against the government in any way, you’re shipped off to Evin.
As one man said who spent time in the notorious prison…
"I used to call it the valley of hell, so you can imagine the situation there is really dark. Medical care is next to zero. They are living with bedbugs, cockroaches, rats, you name it.
The prison has been in the news recently because of riots and a fire that broke out.
At least four prisoners died in the fire and over 60 prisoners were injured.
The rioting erupted because of the death of a 22-year-old woman.
The woman was arrested for some “moral” violation and was beaten to death by the police. However, the official government response is that “she died of a heart attack.”
Protests in Iran are still going strong and I certainly wish those people the best against their awful government.
Just imagine how horrible it would be to live in a country like Iran without our freedoms.
Without being able to speak your mind…
Without being able to have a gun in your home or on your hip to protect yourself…
Without being able to choose what religion you want to belong to and where you want to attend church each Sunday.
And not being able to order whatever book you want to read or being able to go to the bookstore and pick out whatever book strikes your fancy.
We are beyond blessed to live here in the US, despite the knuckleheads who live here who don’t believe in freedom.
But I know that you do… and I certainly do too.
And with elections coming up, I hope you’ll join me in supporting and defending freedom.
Here’s the answer.
Stay safe,
