to “bug” your home... notice furniture in your house and its exact location.
In the spy world, if a foreign government wanted to “bug” your home…
They might plant the bug inside your walls, behind switches, or inside fixtures.
And if you were a spy who was worried about this happening, you would definitely pay attention to the furniture in your house and its exact location.
Does it look like anyone moved the furniture so they could more easily access a spot to plant a bug?
Does it look like there’s any drywall dust on the floor from where a hole was drilled in the wall?
Does the wall all of the sudden look discolored as if the paint doesn’t match up and the wall had a tiny repair?
And here’s how else a bug might be planted and how it’s much more likely to happen to the average American.
Instead of going through all of the trouble of breaking into your home and hiding something in the walls…
It’s much easier to just give you a gift that you’ll bring inside your house.
For example, you might be given a beautiful clock or a rare painting. (All of which has been done in real life espionage operations.)
Or perhaps you’re encouraged to bring into your home some “whiz bang” technology that’ll make your life much easier.
This “whiz bang” technology could have names such as Amazon Alexa or Google Voice Assistant.
If someone has nefarious purposes…
It’s much easier to bug a home while pretending to care about you and pretending to give you something that’ll make your life more convenient.
Heck, it could be someone bringing you a vase full of flowers, when they know they only need to be able to listen to you for a couple of days to get what they need.
My point is, our home is our sanctuary and we should think a bit more before we bring something or someone into our house.
Remember, it’s not just Big Tech we need to worry about, it could be a relationship that went south.
Of course, the biggest culprit is the United States government who now pretty much ignores all laws against spying on US citizens.
This is why you need to be more vigilant and think more often on how to protect your privacy and ensure you’re not being spied on.
In other words, if you truly want to know how to escape the surveillance state, make sure to grab the book below that reveals how spies do it and how you can too.
