This house was built by Richard Petty's maternal grandfather in 1924! It later became the home of Lee and Elizabeth Petty where Richard and Maurice were BORN in the upstairs bedroom. It is well known that the original drivers of NASCAR often ran shine in their hotrods.

Lee Petty was one of those guys and this house features numerous secret hiding places! The Petty Museum in Randleman NC is open to the public and absolutely worth checking out! If you'd like to see the race shops next to the house we have a video on the channel with Dale Inman showing those!
