EMERGING FROM HIBERNATION For most of us that live in Florida now, we originated from "up north". May signaled the start of car season and Memorial Day weekend was the start of boating season. As a native Ohioian my Nova was locked in an old wooden barn from Halloween until April. Once in a while we'd get a day or two in the 60's in early spring and I'll take it for a spin only to have the cold drizzling sleet return.

When May arrived I knew I was in the clear and the weekends started filling up with shows. I would get a stack of flyers in my car announcing upcoming shows. Then organize them by dates and decide on Friday where I was going for that weekend. My biggest decision of the week. Life was simpler then.

October would come and the weather would change and I knew that the last show would be on Halloween weekend. That would be it for my Nova and me. We'd be separated for 7 months and I'd have to play Atari to bide my time until spring.
