v8srule Mark Z. All the other current short tracks on the schedule come to mind. If they did concerts in the middle of the track during a forced "half time", then yeah, that would be odd, right? Not the track, its the oddity of the whole venue. And, with all of what NASCAR did with this, was the racing better? I think the answer to that is no, it wasn't.
We get better racing from all the current short tracks than this one turned out to be. So, it seems very odd to go and do this type of event where they decided to do it. And, if you read the article, it appears this
might become something they will do more of, where they go off and build a temp track someplace and then make the racing an after thought of the event in deference to the other activities. Have to wait and see.
