This explains a lot! I had an argument with a friend that said Charlotte Rampling was in the Vanishing Point. I told him I'd seen it a number of times and that no she wasn't. Really stupid that they cut out this scene from the American version. I love how as the light bulbs indicates progress it sounds like a pinball machine.
