Steel Chariots is a NASCAR TV movie made in 1997. Filming took place largely in the Charlotte, NC area. I wanted to make this available as it is almost a lost piece of NASCAR history!
Question: would anyone happen to know the theme heard at 40:40 when DJ's car is being prepared for the next race? Youtube didn't identify it and I can find very little on this film (including a full soundtrack list) due to it being so obscure. As far as my opinion on this very obscure NASCAR film, well, I haven't seen the whole thing, but from what I have seen it's got the exact same
problem as fellow NASCAR films Days Of Thunder, Herbie: Fully Loaded, and Talladega Nights: (and possibly others too) they focus WAY too much on the personal lives of the characters and NOT enough on the ACTUAL GOLDANG RACING, what the hell do they think people watch these movies for!?
