When I was racing sailboats, one year I made every points race in
the state of Florida, spent a fortune on gas, motels, etc.
BUT....if you did well in three major races, you got invited to the nationals.
The next year, I stayed home and practiced every day, saved gas and motel bills
and did good at ONE RACE of the big three.........and went to the Nationals!
