MISINFORMATION Misinformation....a new term for 2021. Last year is was "the new normal". Either way, my definition of normal can't come soon enough. I can relate to the term "misinformation" not due to the virus but the way the FlaCarShows name has been copies in recent years.

When FCS was formed in 2005, never did the originator (Barry) imagine that there would be lots of variations of the name used throughout social media and beyond. This causes confusion.

I have found various names with small lettering changes on Facebook. I had a friend buy a car through a very large auction house, the check was made payable to a very similar name. He thought FCS was now in the auction business. One website (again similar) links you to a totally different name of a local venue. And several people purchased a similar domain name, only to have it linked to some other website that attempts to do the same as FCS. Most are defuncted but the name is still forever linked. There's a term for that, it's called "cyber squatting" .

The reason I bring this up is that viewers may run across these sites only to assume the information is correct, or the information is out of date, or the website is no longer active. There is only ONE FLACARSHOWS.COM that is very much alive and as accurately as humanly possible with the most up-to-date events across Florida. Unfortunately, I cannot protect myself from these other site even though it is officially trademark but I can ask that our viewer's continue to support FCS by participating in the Facebook page, posting shows on the website, and pass the correct website name along to your car friends.
