GARAGE DESIGN The sky is the limit on outfitting a garage to be useful, organized, and most of all....super cool. Ever realize when you host or attend a party, everyone hangs out around the kitchen island. Well what car person doesn't want that same vibe in their garage?

I've got the lift and the high ceilings, next comes the cabinets, wall mountings, toolboxes, and counters. Oh yes, need a deep sink for cleaning. Sticker shock on hiring the pros so I decided to do it myself, with some help from my handyman car-friend.

After lots of research and opinions, I decided to go with NewAge cabinets & slat wall, butcher block top from Lowe's, and tool boxes from US General (Harbor Freight). I really wanted lime green, but without getting into custom paint work I decided on red. Classic car theme; red, black, and silver.

In the coming months I'll document my experience and if it performs as good as the pros at a lot less cost....or will I be disappointed. Stay tuned.
