I found this:
Tampa has long been known as the "Cigar City". Ybor City was founded as an independent town in 1885 by a group of cigar manufacturers led by Vicente Martinez-Ybor and was annexed by Tampa in 1887. The original population was mostly composed of Cuban and Spanish immigrants who worked in the cigar factories.
The Cigar City Concours d'Elegance is proud to continue the prominence of such a rich history. This year we are expanding to a two-day event, Saturday & Sunday November 13th & 14th at Tampa Bay Downs thoroughbred racetrack, a noted landmark itself. We held the first Cigar City Concours d'Elegance in 2018 at District Park in Starkey Ranch. In 2019 we moved the event to Tampa Bay Downs, a much more user friendly venue with ample paved parking area for spectators and support vehicles for show cars. In 2020 all Concours and other automotive related events were cancelled due to COVID-19.
We are looking forward to returning to Tampa Bay Downs this November with a bigger and better Cigar City Concours d'Elegance. Hope you'll join us. Tickets will go on sale on the website (
Cigar City Concours d'Elegance – Just another WordPress site) in mid-July. Tickets are $24.95 each and include admission to both Saturday Cigars & Cars and Sunday Concours d'Elegance with free parking. If you would like to submit a vehicle for Cigars & Cars and/or The Concours d'Elegance, email:
