Who can claim title as America’s longest-running weekly car show? I have deleted the list of fake-o virus cancellations. It was all political.

Kissimmee claims its weekly car show is the longest-running in the United States. Any challengers for that title out there? | PositivelyOsceola.com photoThe coronavirus pandemic has interrupted local weekly car shows from coast to coast, but things are opening up and
PositvelyOsceola.com reports that when the Friday Muscle Car Show and Saturday Classic Car Show resume the weekend of June 12-13 in the Old Town section of Kissimmee, Florida, the tandem shows will maintain a claim to the title of “America’s Longest Running Weekly Car Show.”
If Kissimmee sounds familiar, it’s likely because you recognize it as the site for Mecum Auctions’ huge collector car sale each January. (Either that, or you’re a big fan of the Florida Fire Frogs minor league baseball team, or perhaps you’ve been to the community’s mouse-hosted theme park.)
“The shows have been a weekly tradition for over 30 years,” the website reports, adding that on June 13, “There will be a limited number of cars cruising at 4 p.m. to maintain the title of ‘America’s Longest Running Weekly Car Show’.”
But is “more than 30 years” really the longest-running such weekly gathering of collector cars in the country? Perhaps. But feel free to use the Comments section below to stake your local show’s claim to that title.
Meanwhile, in Kissimmee, social-distancing will be practiced as the weekly shows resume, and while there will be live music, the website notes, “dancing in front of the stage” has been temporarily suspended.

Goodguys set Hall of Fame road tours
“The time has come to lock in your spot,” the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association says, for its annual Hall of Fame Road Tours. Both tours begin this year in Salt Lake City, Utah, but each will have its own route to Fort Worth, Texas, and the 28th annual Lone Star Nationals.
Each route is open only to 50 vehicles. The Parks & Plaines Tour will visit such locations as Yellowstone and the Grand Teton, the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore, Carhenge, and a variety of garages and car museums. The Rocky Mountain Tour includes Yellowsone Park, the Garden of the Gods, a drive up Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge Bridge, and, of course, garages and car collections.

Las Vegas Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for October 23-25 in the new Las Vegas Ball Park in Summerlin and has announced the featured marque will be Cadillac, as well as celebrating 30 years of Lamborghini Diablo and — how much more Vegas could it get? — the cars of Elvis Presley.
