My taxes when I bought my little piece of ground 20 years ago in the country was only $500. I built a house then my taxes went to $2500. Now I am charged $9000 per year. Most of this money goes to the schools and to pay for Medicaid insurance for the non working people. I don’t have paved streets or sidewalks, no sewers, no street lights, ditches to handle run off water, we only have a county sheriff, no police department, only volunteer fireman. I live on a small pension and social security which remember was taken away from my husband’s paychecks so don’t call it an entitlement, it was our money they took from us with the promise to give it back to use when we got old. Many kids go to college and only go to drink and do drugs. The flunk out rate for the first semester is very high, they also don’t train for a real job that somebody will hire them for. My son worked 3 jobs and borrowed the rest of the money which he paid for he works as an engineer. My daughter paid completely for her undergraduate with a scholarship and working too. She went to Medical School which she had to borrow money for and she is 53 years old she has worked for 20 years and still is paying off her loans. What about my kids? Are you refunding them for struggling to pay and graduate and get productive jobs?
