Great Lakes Cobra Club Fires Up For Snakes In The Grass Cruise-In
LAKE ORION, Mich. – Finding automotive events this year has certainly been a challenge for enthusiasts all over the world. Just like every other car club, Michigan’s
Great Lakes Cobra Club has had to cancel most of the events it had planned for 2020 due to health concerns over the pandemic. However, one event that was able to be held with proper safety precautions in place was the club’s annual “Snakes in the Grass” cruise-in event, held at
Old World Canterbury Village in Southeast Michigan the first weekend of September.

Canterbury Village is a historical landmark on old farm property that is home to the Made in Michigan Market, Yates Cider Mill Store, The C-Pub and nearly a dozen other specialty shops over the sprawling, picturesque 21-acre grounds. It’s here where the Cobras get to shine in a Cars and Coffee event format that included other snake-named vehicles such as Mustang Cobras and Vipers as well as various Shelby's. The lot of 30-plus vehicles made for a colorful display on the Village grounds. Event participants arrived early in the morning for an 8 a.m. start and remained on display until around lunchtime. Great Lakes Cobra Club president Jeff Grice was on-site the entire day of the event, and shared these photos with Ford Performance:
