HSR Announces New Dates for The Mitty and Atlanta Fall Historics

Clearwater, FL — Historic Sportscar Racing officials announced today (April 24) that its 2020 Atlanta Fall Historics at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta has been rescheduled for Oct. 8-11 from its original date of Sept. 24-27.

“From the original postponement announcements to today’s good news that both HSR races have new dates, we have been in constant contact with Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta President Geoff Lee and his team,” said HSR President David Hinton.
“Geoff and the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta staff have been perfect partners in these difficult times,” Hinton said. “I know they join all of us at HSR, including our valued competitors, in sending our deepest condolences to all of the families that have lost loved ones to the COVID-19 virus.”
The HSR Fall Historics rescheduling was made in support of a recent IMSA schedule change that moved Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta’s Motul Petit Le Mans back one week to a later October date. All of these schedule changes have been a result of across-the-board cooperation by motorsports governing bodies around the world in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
All purchased tickets for the 2020 HSR Mitty at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta will automatically be valid for admission to the 2021 running of the event.
Next up on the 2020 HSR calendar is the May 15-17 Barber Historics at Barber Motorsports Park. Along with event partner HMSA, HSR is staying in close contact with track organizers and following information from the office of the Governor of Alabama on the state’s reopening plans. Competitors will be provided updates as available.
