Arizonans! Monte Walsh was filmed in Benson and Sonoita. After filming, Lee bought a place in Tucson. Lee Marvin picked the director, edited the script, and did the casting but it did not find a big audience in American theaters.
This is not a big ACTION movie. (sorry to the Dirty Dozen fanatics) . There are some wild scenes ranching horses, breaking broncos, and gunfighting but this is more a movie about what people feel/do when their whole industry winds down.
