Look closely (several times) at how the crank is polished and streamlined.
Notice how the connecting rods are done.
Notice how the pistons are skeletonized, streamlined and lightened as much as possible.
The tops are machined so as to get better flow around the valves and promote ignition flame travel.
I like the side braces cast into the block, and the lightweight braces holding the intake manifold.
This is quite a design!
