Kyle LeDuc (pictured above) only needed to take the green flag to claim his sixth Pro 4 championship. But for good measure, he won the race anyway. Granted, he had some help from his competitors. LeDuc hung out at the back for the first half of the race, passing Adrian Cenni just before the competition yellow. On the restart, leader Doug Mittag over-rotated in Turn 2, and RJ Anderson and Greg Adler were collected. LeDuc moved on past in his Monster Energy/Toyo Tires Pro 4 to take the victory.

Ryan Beat had to do more than just take the start to win his second consecutive Pro Lite championship. Brock Heger was 10 points back and Mickey Thomas 11. Both of the chasers were intent on winning and thus battling for the lead. Running side by side, Heger lost it in Turn 3 and then exited the course, Leaving Thomas up front with Ronnie Anderson in second and Beat in third. With Heger out, Beat had a little bit more breathing room, so even when Cole Mamer got by him for the third podium position, he was still good for the championship. Beat ended up fourth, with Thomas doing all he could by taking the win in his Stovall Pro Lite.

“Two in a row, two in a row for General Tire,” said Beat. “Back to back. I’m so happy right now. This is unbelievable. This is what dreams are made of.” Beat added that next year he is headed to the Pro 2 class.

Production 1000 UTV was another class with a close title fight. Two-time winner Brock Heger is the only champion the class has known, but he came into the finale seven points behind Robert Stout. Heger started third behind Myles Cheek and Stout. Within a lap Heger was second, and then he made short work of Cheek. But with Stout in third, winning wouldn’t be enough. Heger won in the Maxxis Yamaha, but Stout claimed the championship in the Magic Dry/Yawpower Suspension Yamaha.

The final round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network and MAVTV. Visit www.lucasoiloffroad.com for the broadcast schedule.
