Hilton Head Island, SC — The Nov. 1-3 Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival has a new partnership with the Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) that will put four vehicles from the National Historic Vehicle Register on display.
Outside of the HVA’s annual Cars at the Capital exhibition, this is the only time vehicles from the Register collection — now numbering a total of 26 — will be shown together.
The cars will be on display in Bluffton, S.C., at Montage Palmetto Bluff from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, and will then move to the grounds of the Port Royal Golf Club on
Hilton Head Island for display during the Festival’s Car Club Showcase (Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Concours d’Elegance (Sunday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
The National Historic Vehicle Register cars include:
1907 Thomas Flyer: Piloted in the first transcontinental automobile race in 1908, the car took first place when it arrived in Paris months after departing New York City.
