In 1973, if I remember correctly, The Stones stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village while they did a couple concerts and took some time off. They chartered the catamaran I was working on and we took them for a sail just outside of Waikiki. I was 18 at the time and was expecting an explosive



party onboard. It was the complete opposite as they were TIRED! Watts didn't make it but Bianca did. We were not to talk to them unless asked a question. There was a full bar onboard but not a drop was touched because they were crashed about 15 minutes into a 90 min sail!



Really super nice guys and all were very polite the entire time. They left some tickets for all of us for that night's concert which I failed to make! I think they put out so much energy for the fans that they made certain they recovered, even back in the 70's. Very impressed and respect them all.
