Yes i remember yrs ago the rockets I'd buy at the hobbie shops. The a, b ,c, d size motors. Then they had the wire initiators. When my first son was born i bought a rocket f14 tomcat. Instead of popping a chute it popped the wings forward and it flew back to the ground.

That thing lasted a lot longer than expected. Finally i cut the fuselage open above the rocket engine and installed an m80. I lit that thing off in my court where i lived with my son. Because of the added weight of m80 the altitude was compromised. Still it launched, when it nosed over the delay was like 3sec it popped wings open.


It was just above the roof tops of our 2 story home and then boom. Disintegrate and set off two car alarms. My boy and i were looking at each other like holy shit that was very loud. Ah good times and memories. Nuff said.
