Not having done an oil analysis,
Can you give any details/procedures/costs and an address/website?
are you part of any of the Mopar clubs in the Tampa area? Mopar Syndicate etc?
I used Blackstone labs, they charge 28 bucks for the basic testing on a gas motor.
You can go online and request a test kit for free and its postage paid, go online first just google blackstone labs
make sure you pick the correct one, there is one for some kind of vitamin pill also
https://www.blackstone-labs.com
set up your account, you can prepay your test here also so its on file when it arrives
about 4 days from the time they get the sample you get an email with a PDF
detailing metal content in the oil, coolant etc and what the amounts suggest about your engine.
since I had just rebuilt the top end of my motor I will have to pull another sample in a 1000 miles
and test again to get a clear picture of what the levels mean
if they indicate wear issues or just normal break in metals present from the rebuild
for instance I had a tiny amount of coolant and silicone present both could be due to the intake and heads
being off and replaced as well I had some metals that may indicate worn rings
you grab the sample mid oil drain in a small bottle, it goes in the larger package included with it.
drop in the mail. wait impatiently like the rest of us!
cheers hope this helps, there are several places you can get your oil tested
at work we buy a product called Shaffers its a synthetic and they and they provide
testing free to us as customers. I had heard of Blackstone before and figured 30 bucks was
worth a shot.
