How to tell if trans is 5 speed or 8 speed?
15’ and newer 8 speed
14’ and back 5 speed
-------------------------------------Just look at your shifter. It it's stubby and had the thumb button on top, 8 speed.
Like a regular tall handle shifter 5 speed. There's a litany of other ways but that's the quickest. And it sounds like that;s isn't your problem at this point. The 8 speeds have a bump that occurs when coming to a stop unless the software is fully updated.
