Luckily, no fire with mine. I got a battery saver mode message, and I took it to an auto parts store to have my battery/alternator tested. While I was in the parking lot, I got multiple messages of one component after another being turned off (obviously, to save power). The tester indicated the alternator was doing absolutely nothing. I probably would not have been able to get out of the parking lot. Had to have it towed to the dealer.
