Got the same issue on my 2016 RT, I'm the second owner and just got the car about 2 weeks ago. Bought an extended bumper to bumper warranty from my finance company so we'll see if they cover it. I live in Florida and I'm going to agree it seems to be a heat related issue...for those that don't have any warranty coverage I found the door panels for 2016-18 on Rock Auto for about $135 per piece.
