Obviously a headlight housing that has integrated LEDs or Factory HIDs cannot be changed to have halogens or HIDs easily, but we can install LEDs and HIDs into headlights that have come standard with halogens. With that being said, which of the two is the better route? I have purchased the best HID and LED kits on the market with my own money to put the question to the test. I am not being paid to sway one way or another, so you are going to be getting my honest opinion with the hopes to help you find some awesome headlight bulbs for your car!

HALOGEN LIGHTS Inexpensive (~$15) Low Energy Efficiency Medium Energy Consumption Mediocre Light Output Warm Colour Temperature Short Warm-Up Time (1 second) Super Easy Install (10 seconds) Mediocre Lifespan
LED LIGHTS More Expensive (~$50) Very High Energy Efficiency Low Energy Consumption Very Good Light Output Coolest Colour Temperature (Typically) No Warm-up Time Easy Install (2 minutes) Very Long Lifespan
HID LIGHTS Most Expensive (~$150) High Energy Efficiency High Energy Consumption INCREDIBLE Light Output Cool Colour Temperature (Typically) Long Warm-up Time (20 seconds) Advanced Install (30 minutes) Good Lifespan *** IF YOU CHANGE YOUR HEADLIGHTS IN ANY REGARD, INSPECT THE LIGHT OUTPUT TO ENSURE PROPER INSTALLATION. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY LEAD TO BLINDING ONCOMING DRIVERS OR LIGHTS NOT BEING ABLE TO ILLUMINATE THE ROAD AT NIGHT. BOTH ARE DANGEROUS THINGS THAT CAN BE AVOIDED ***
