Confiscation does not start with a round up. Confiscation starts (as it did in Germany, England, Australia, etc.) by the passing of "common sense" laws to "protect the people". People who don't comply will face jail time. That will cause many to voluntarily surrender their weapons. That reduces the burden on the state to then "clean up" the rest if them. It will start and be implemented under the guise of law.
