my dad always talked of his shipboard days in WWII and the trip to Japan that was cancelled with the end of the war. The other talk was that of family and his trucking.
That Jimmy V6 screaming, the boss giving him one dollar for fuel for a load and he soundly rejected, the time a rock set the air valve open and he ran a load of tomatoes out of the ozarks without brakes, hugging the tight curves and finally making the straightaway to see family.
