Star Wars & Hookers & Mopar Stage 1s, OH MY!!What do Star Wars and Ladies of the Night have to do with the Mopar Stage 1 lowering springs I’m installing on The Bacon Hauler?
Nothing really, unless you happen to be driving by tonight and look into my garage while I’m putting them on:
If you were to do that, you be greeted by glimpses of what looks like either a
red Star Wars light saber under my car or the kind of marker found only in the Red Light District of a more progressive country’s popular tourist zone.
But that’s all an illusion; it’s neither!
It is actually a 3 foot LED light I’ve repurposed to use as a work light, and for the summer months around here, I’ve got wrapped in taillight
repair tape.
Yeah, the neighbors think I’m a whack-job, and to be fair they aren’t entirely wrong, but for this one they are way off base.
The red light doesn’t attract the mosquitos and other bugs that the LED light alone would, and that means I don’t have to drench myself in Deep Woods OFF while doing this nor do I have to hang up a big bug net across the garage door opening to try to keep them out.
(Neither of which I must say are very effective at anything but frustrating the heck out of me any time I have tried to make them work.)
But enough chit-chat, I’ve still got the front springs to swap out before I’m done! So I’m gonna get back to it.
Here’s hoping y’all have a pleasant tonight and Mopar tomorrow!
Gert
