I have a 67 car that was converted into a 66 by replacing all the sheet metal except the roof...although my car was built in Mooresville, NC, by an Xfinity NASCAR team in the off season (Spraker Racing) by Jeff Spraker, who was working on loan by GM to Smokey back in 1970 and saw one of the 3 original cars, my car was built To pass tech at Darlington Speedway in 1966....and it did, but in 2012 with Dub Simpson at the wheel in the vintage race car gathering...the car is a dirt car (wide 5s) and is highly regarded in the Charlotte,Concord area....
