To this day the only landing that was more of a miracle was that of Captian Sully Sullenberger who landed his aircraft in the Hudson River after both engines were wiped out by bird strikes. As far as pilot's abilities I have to call this one a tie with Sully. The amount of difficulty of the Dac10 was much different that that of Sully's but both were handled with the utmost skill and determination. In the case of this landing, three pilots were on boars, two hired for the flight and a third hoping a ride home. Together they formed a team that got the p,and down under the worst circumstances with the least amount of damage and loss of life possible.
They should be called heros for all their days left on this earth. Thank you gentlemen! On the other hand Sully and his co pilot were alone and again did the best they could with what they had to work with, only losing on passenger. If not for the Hudson being close enough to provide a soft surface to land on, the death toll would have been much much higher. These men too, were heroes.i hope none of these pilots will never be forgotten. My hat's off to all of them and my respect is with them no matter what else they do in life. Thank you, our heroes!
