I saw Porsche 917LH cars 17 & 18 in 1973 at the Vasek Polak car dealership in Hermosa Beach, CA. Both cars were outside under a tarp and in terrible condition. All the fiberglass body panels on both cars were brittle, broken, total junk. It was so sad to see both cars I such bad shape. 2 months later they were gone. A big mystery that has never been answered is how did they get there and where did they go?
