This is how you access the Adjustable Part-Throttle setting after the carburetor is assembled.
According to JET, this carburetor is intended for racing purposes only. For this reason, the Stage 3 carburetor might exhibit a rich condition at idle and low speeds, due to the calibrations made to operate properly under high-RPM racing conditions.
Stage-3 Typical Application:
- 355 to 406ci engines
- Compression ratio 11.0:1 to 12.5:1
- Cast-iron intake, ported cast-iron heads
- 1 3/4-inch headers or ported ram horn manifolds
- Camshaft requirements: Minimum 240 degrees and maximum 250 degrees duration at .050-inch lift, .510 to .540-inch lobe lift, Lobe Separation Angle (LSA) of 106 to 110 degrees.

Once the carburetor is assembled, it’s hard to distinguish between an OE and a race-prepped unit – unless you know what to look for.
