Do not slouch or remain physically distant from the person with whom you are speaking. Resist that natural tendency ("honest signal" ) to shrink or diminish your stance. Rather, use the strong upright body posture which reflects your credibility and confidence.

Also, use body language in your conversation (gestures, an extended hand when making a point) which further defines you as self-assured and comfortable. 2) Use your voice to its fullest capacity. You do not have to have the voice of James Earl Jones to command respect and attention. Do not mumble with a weak, unsure tone, as this belies your lack of confidence in your own credibility, and in what you are saying. Rather, you need to speak loudly and with strength so that you are heard. And don't tell me your voice can't be loud.
