The 63rd Annual Detroit Autorama selected this 1965 Impala, named the 'Impostor' as the 2015 Ridler Winner. This marks the fourth Ridler for Chip Foose and the team at Foose Design.
For this creation, Chip purchased a brand now C5 Corvette from the dealership and drove it just 3 blocks before completely disassembling the car. Next he took a stock 1965 Impala and begun modifying the body by removing a total of 14 inches in length!. From there, the goal was to reinstall the complete stock drivetrain and features of the Corvette into the modified Impala body.
Chip made it all happen, right down to the OnStar system. The vehicle is finished in BASF Glasurit 90-Line 'Impostor Pearl'.
