Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway has been a landmark in Wilkes County, North Carolina since the mid-40's. After closing it's gates in the mid-90's, the track has been left to wither away. The legendary track opened it's gate briefly in 2010, but soon turned back to it's vacant state. Now the track sits quietly in the hills of North Carolina where stock car racing got its start.
