The NASCAR community lost a giant in 2017 when Robert Yates
died in October after a long battle with liver cancer. He was 74.
Jack Roush, who partnered with Yates and Ford in 2003 to form Roush Yates engines, and Roush Fenway Racing ran a tribute scheme on Ricky Stenhouse's Ford Fusion at the Phoenix race in November. On Wednesday, Roush presented Yates' son Doug with that car at the Roush Fenway shop.
Robert Yates will be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Jan. 19.
