Who is responsible for this sh\***t? I'd like to see what his friends have to say about this. It looks like the director got just the right people to say just the right things. Actually, nobody is really saying anything. There is no proof where a lot of these ideas came from.
I know he spent time with the Anderson family because I actually used to work with the grandson of the woman that used to babysit Prince. He said Prince would visit her at least once a year and show up to their family reunions. I saw him in concert in 2006 at his club in Las Vegas called 3121 and he was awesome. My highlight was making eye contact with and making him laugh.
They have a guy explaining the Rockn'Roll Hall of fame video that any one of us can watch and give our own critic of. He was even false in his statement. The performance wasn't last minute, it was planned and he was invited to play with them. All of them knew when he was going to start his solo. I do agree that they didn't know it would be so good because Tom Petty is quoted saying that they were sounding stoned until Prince came in and basically kicked them in the ass. Next they have actors repeating what was written in a Rolling Stones article that we can all already access and critique ourselves. How is that new to us? This video is made to make Prince look depressed and disturbed.
Nobody is ever always happy but Prince had friends, lovers, music, God, and was always throwing parties. They didn't bring up that the Piano tour could've partly been inspired by Vanity just dying because he talked about her at the concert in Australia and dedicated songs to her. They make him look disturbing when was awesome. All it is is a bunch fluff. No evidence of anything. Just their impressions of information we already know and so much information they seem to have no idea existing. I even saw him with 3rd Eye Girl in 2013. Awesome!
He was like Jimi Hendrix! Maybe better! I literally felt like my hair was being blown back. He was making music with them up until he died. I have those records. Yes, the actual records. They were made. You just opened a flood gate of rant because nobody did their homework or even a tad bit of research. All that was done was someone researched the Internet on Prince and then formulated a documentary based on their perception of what they found. Prince was never confused about his sexuality. He dressed shockingly to get people's attention. He has said this a number of times so have his band mates like Wendy and even Mayte. Read Mayte's book about Prince if you want to actually learn something about him. Listen to people's personal experiences that had with him. They are all over the Internet and there is a Prince book recently out with a compilation of them. People love sharing their stories about him.
Look up the story about Eddie Murphy and The Roots singer getting invited to go roller skating with Prince at 2am or Jimmy Fallon's ping pong story about him. Prince was not disturbed. This man knew how to have fun and make people laugh. Most of all, he knew how to throw a party that was a truly surreal experience.
Also, listen to this man's philosophy in interviews. He did a great interview with Larry King discussing quite a bit of his philosophy. It was very enlightened and healthy. I'm not denying he had a problem with pain killers because he started using a cane and was a machine when it came to performing. He changed his dancing and even his shoes to flat platform sneakers at times. Ask Wendy, Mayte, and Sheila E. what they think of this documentary. I'd love to see what they have to say.
