I agree that electronic Fuel Injection meets emission standards when fastened to a computer.
It also makes people dependent on the dealer with a computer and costly software to keep it
running.
Carburetors will still work after a nuclear EMPulse....Ever see the Road Warrior movies?
Some of the domestic cars at car shows use carbs.
Some import cars use webbers, downdraft and side draft.
My 89 Honda Accord uses a carb and is a lot simpler to work on than Elec Fuel Injection.
Stand alone Fuel Injection is available......but for about $1,000.
When the prices get close to that of a carb, people will buy it.
