Some of the original cars had to have the original rear glass in place.

When the car was streamlined, you could look under the plastic rear glass

and see the original rear glass still in the stock position. (to comply with the rules).

Later on, the stock glass was removed from the frame and only the plastic

on the exterior body was in place.
