[h=2]Inside SportsCar magazine’s July 2017 issue[/h] Friday, 16 June 2017

SportsCar magazine, the official member magazine of the Sports Car Club of America, has released its July 2017 issue, which dives deep into the world of SCCA RallyCross. This 11-page feature discusses all aspects of SCCA RallyCross, from history of the sport to bettering the driver to championship participation over the years, course design, and car selection. If you've ever wanted to race in the dirt, you don't want to miss this issue.
Another special feature in this issue entitled "The Can't Do That...Can They?" puts the focus on five SCCA racecars that were so revolutionary in their category that the cars changed the face of their classes – or the sanctioning body outright banned them. From the Chaparral 2E and 2J to the Audis of Trans Am to Stohrs in Sports Racing and the Swift DB1 in Formula F, these were the cars that turned racing on its head.
Also in this issue is a study on driver coaching. Rather than theoretically discuss what coaching can bring to the table,
SportsCar took two SCCA club racers to the track and paired them with AiM data expert Roger Caddell and professional driver and coach Bryan Heitkotter to see what driver improvements could be made. Did they go faster? Was it worth the money? Find out in this issue.
Additional features in the issue include the advantages (and disadvantages) of building your own race motors, a continuation of SCCA's Camaro project car, and much more.
